Please do not park in the Church Car Park when you come to Mass at the weekend. The Clergy need 24hour access to the Garage and Car Park Exit to be able to get out to say Mass at OLOL, or visit the hospital for emergencies.

Parking on the streets surrounding the church -Geneva Street, Fitzwilliam Street and Park Road in front of the church is free on Sundays until 12.30pm

Cars may be parked in North St car park, (opposite the Church on the Geneva St side). A ticket machine is available.

You may park there on Sundays at a reduced cost by purchasing a ticket or a group of tickets in advance from the parish office. Tickets must be filled out in ink (not pencil) with your name and the date clearly marked. Each ticket costs £1 and can be used for one day only. If tickets are not clearly filled out as above then you may be liable for a fine of £100. The parish cannot be held responsible for any fines incurred.

First Holy Communion Classes

First Holy Communion Classes are due to commence on the weekend of 30th September/1st October.

Children in year 4 are eligible to attend.

If you wish your child to attend the classes please ensure you have completed the application form at the back of church and returned it with a copy of your Child’s Baptismal Certificate.

 

Sr Mary-Clare

Sr Mary-Clare wishes to thank the Parish for her farewell Celebration which included a Papal Blessing, iPod and numerous cards wishing her well in her new Community. A special thank you to those who prepared the Reception and the Children’s Choir for singing her favourite hymn, “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace.” She also thanks the Parish for the generous support she has had over the years

 

Prayer Requests

It is intended to pilot a scheme for Prayer Requests.There will be a Prayer Request Box at the back of church, where you can submit your Prayer Requests.

All the Prayer Requests will be offered up during the Rosary after each mass Mon-Fri.
We are looking for Parishioners to lead the Rosary on a rota basis.
