Lent Course

Due to the work being undertaken in the Parish Centre during Lent there will be no Lenten Course here in All Souls. Instead it is suggested that Parishioners join the course at St Oswald’s which will
be DVD/ Booklet based called “Let It Be Done Unto Me” run by Fr Tom Walton. This course will be on Thursdays at 7.00pm starting on Thursday 15th February.

 

Stations of the Cross at All Souls

There will be Stations of the Cross at All Souls each Friday during Lent before the 12.30pm Mass and at 7.30pm in the evening. There will also be Stations of The Cross on Sundays at 3.00pm led by the various Parish Communities.

 

The Lenten Booklet “Walk With Me”

Lenten Alms Throughout the whole of Lent

Lenten Alms will be collected for the Diocesan appointed charities – Aid To The Church In Need and Don’t Screen Out. One of the Wall Boxes at the back of church will be designated to collect monies throughout Lent

 

Temporary closure of parish centre (from 19th Feb)

Rope Trust

We have recently been successful in obtaining a grant from the Rope Trust, who supports catholic churches and schools, to carry out some refurbishment work in the Presbytery and the Parish Centre. This work will take place from mid January until mid March.

As part of this programme the Parish Centre will be closed from Monday 19th February for 4 to 6 weeks in order for a new Kitchen to be fitted, the floor to be sanded and re varnished and for the Hall to be decorated. During this period there will be no access to the hall or toilets at anytime. Your understanding and co-operation would be appreciated.
