Meet the clergy

 

Fr. David Jennings,
Parish Priest

Fr David Jennings Fr David was in Norwich in 1957 and baptised at St John’s (not then the Cathedral). Also there he made his First Holy Communion (1964) and confirmed in (1968). He attended the Catholic Schools of Willow Lane, St John’s and St Thomas More.

Fr David completed his studies for the priesthood in 1993 (from St John’s Seminary, Wonersh, Guildford) and was ordained on 1st May – the Feast of St Joseph the Worker (Joseph being his confirmation name) at St John’s Cathedral, Norwich by Bishop Alan Clark.

He was appointed first to Our Lady and the English Martyrs, Cambridge, 1993 – 1997, then as Parish Priest to Our Lady and St Thomas of Canterbury, Wymondham, Norfolk, 1997-2003. In September 2003 he was appointed Parish Priest of St Peter and All Souls, Peterborough.

 

 

Fr Hoan Minh Nguyen
("Fr John")

Hoan Minh Nguyen, commonly known as Fr John Minh, was born in Vietnam during the war. In 1993, he was sponsored by the Diocese of East Anglia to study for the priesthood at St. Mary's College, Oscott, Birmingham. He first came to St. Peter & All Souls for a pastoral placement in 1996, then was ordained here in 1999. After nearly 4 years at Our Lady & the English Martyrs in Cambridge, he was transferred back to St. Peter & All Souls, which he described as 'going home'.
Fr Joseph Gnanam is a Redemptorist priest, here in the parish for a year.
