During Advent and the Christmas Season a statue of the Holy Family (a Posada) will be taken around the parish for parishioners to use as an aid for reflection and prayer during the festive season to celebrate the Coming and Birth of Our Lord. This will take place from the First Sunday of Advent Sunday 27th November until Christmas Eve.
The parish has been split into 4 areas and in each area families can have the Posada so parishioners can visit and pray in the host’s home as a community. People are asked to put their names on the list at the back of church against the day/week and area they are prepared to host.
The areas around the Parish are:-
1st week Advent – Dogsthorpe
2nd week Advent – Fletton & Woodston
3rd week Advent – West Town/City Centre
4th week Advent – Eastgate
Please support the Posada by agreeing to be a host or attending prayers within your area.
